well it's finally here, the adventure time season finale...this felt like a really long season, I'm not saying that's a bad thing though. the episode is called too old and it feature's lemon-grab, those episodes are for the most part pretty funny,
...this one on the other hand...
the episode start's off with the gate keeper for castle lemon-grab
checking princess bubblegum's passport while finn is talking to jake on
the phone who tells him it's not a good idea to go out with her after he
just broke up with flame princess, confirming they did indeed break up
in frost and fire.once they enter castle lemon-grab they notice that thing's seem a bit different, there's also an nod to the first episode to feature lemon-grab where one of the lemon children announces that finn and princess bubblegum have arrived the same way the pinata does with lemon-grab
the 2 lemon-grabs enter the room looking quite different they they normally do, for one, lemon-grab is now really fat and lemon-grab 2 has half of his face missing and travels around with a hovercraft type thing, this is when thing's get weird...really....really....REALLY weird, even for adventure time.
during dinner bubblegum tells finn that something's wrong with the lemon grab's and that they're suppose to be the exactly the same, lemon-grab then smack's lemon-grab 2 for flying too high then order's for a floor show featuring 2 lemon children, one hitting himself and the other screaming, lemon-grab is unimpressed and shock's them with shock collars then proceeds to take a piece of bread from one of the lemon children (there only food) and eats it, lemon-grab 2 then give's the lemon child part of his bread which displeases lemon-grab who yell's at him for it. I gotta be honest here, I find it really disturbing how lemon-grab, a character I'm used to seeing act weird but funny act like this corrupt tyrant. princess bubblegum say's she can't watch them fight anymore and leaves, where she finds a lemon child named lemon-hope locked in a room.
the lemon-grab's then burst into the room and smash the harp lemon-hope was playing
lemon-grab then kicks him...yep, lemon-grab just kicked I child with no regret whatsoever...anyway,
princess bubblegum then say's she want's to take him back to the candy kingdom, lemon-grab then kicks him again and take's him away, geez...the thought of there being a place like that is downright chilling. finn then get's the idea to prank lemon-grab by putting baking soda and vinegar in pudding and giving it to him. for doing this lemon-grab then sends them both to the dungeon with lemon-hope. princess bubblegum then gives lemon-hope finn's flute to play hoping that they can escape when the lemon-grab's come to smash it, lemon-hope then start's playing the flute (very poorly) for some reason the lemon-grab's enjoy it and lemon-grab 2 opens the dungeon door so they can escape, it almost seems like lemon-grab 2 has developed his own personality and is no longer just a copy of lemon-grab but his own person, lemon-grab seems to figure this out and for that reason EATS HIM ALIVE, after escaping the castle they find the gate is locked, lemon-grab then appears on the balcony and order's the lemon children to kill them and shocks them with the shock collars.
they then attack finn, the whole time there apologizing for doing so, this sort of reminds me of the turret's in portal that don't want to hurt you and are being forced, the lemon children truly fear for there life, even though they never say or even imply it, it's pretty obvious lemon-grab has killed his citizens at some point. lemon-grab 2 then appears out of lemon-grabs mouth and uses the remote used to shock them to make the collars fall off and say's he's learned that "lemon must not squeeze lemon to survive" and tells lemon-hope to grow strong and return for them before he's swallowed whole by lemon-grab. the lemon children then help finn, princess bubblegum and lemon-hope escape. as they're leaving castle lemon-grab finn call's jake and tells him he want's to get back together with flame princess, jake responds by telling finn flame princess has a new boyfriend but then just say's he's joking... and then say's she might.
wow...I have to say I never saw anything like this coming, but overall this episode is pretty good, it really makes you wonder what happened between this episode and another 5 more short graybles, hopefully they'll clear this up next season, also my guess is judging by what jake said at the end of the episode, flame princess will have a new boyfriend. I liked it
